Friday Nights, not Festivals

On the weekend I was meant to head off to my fifth and final festival of the season. Unfortunately I have been far too busy so I decided to sell my ticket and have a weekend at home instead.

I wholly intended not to go out, to stay at home and do all those things I’ve been putting off, like doing my laundry and cleaning up my room. But by the time I finished work on Friday I desperately needed to let off some steam – which I did in my usual fashion of a few (too many) drinks and some serious dancing.

It’s been a while since I got really dressed up and I was particularly excited about using my new Poppy Lissiman clutch for the first time.

St Patrick’s Day

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

I never miss an opportunity to be festive and dress in a theme and today it’s all about green. It actually took me a while to settle on this work appropriate St Paddy’s outfit because it turns out I own a lot of green! When considering what work appropriate items I had I found a green blazer, cardigan, jumper, top, skirt and belt. In the end I decided I don’t have enough excuses to wear this awesome vintage green belt and decided to base my outfit around that.

I plan to wear something a little more out there when I go out for a drink (or two) tonight – green beer anyone?

Outfit: Country Road Cardigan, Top (Jacqui E), Belt (Vintage), Forecast Skirt (Opshop, $6) & Heels (BooHoo, $35)

Is it just me….

Is it just me, or do other women try on an article of clothing that is particularly stretchy and some how justify purchasing it  because “I could so wear this if I got pregnant”. Luckily this super stretchy print midi dress doesn’t have to accommodate for that just yet, just for a lot of Thai food.

Being short of stature I generally steer clear of anything longer than mid thigh, but in the work place, and with a pair of killer heels, nothing makes you feel more powerful than a figure hugging midi dress.
A great print and classic blazer makes this outfit one of my new favourites.

We are honing in on December 25th and all subtlety has gone out the window when it comes to jewellery. I especially love these Rudolf earrings because I can hear the tiny bells jingle when I walk.
