Imagine a bag that’s stylish AND practical, big enough for everything (including your laptop) BUT doesn’t look like a duffel bag, can be over-the-shoulder, on your arm, cross body AND a backpack?
Sounds like the unicorn of handbags.
Well Senvere have made it and I want it, NOW!
I first saw Senreve’s Maestra Bag on Cupcakes & Cashmere and then shortly after it popped up on Gal Meets Glam and I’ve been stalking it ever since!
Ain’t it just sooo perdy?
While writing this post I spent a good 10 minutes justifying to my (male) housemate why this is such an amazing bag. At first he didn’t get why you wouldn’t just use a laptop bag and why you would want the backpack option. But after pointing out that this is designed for business women who care about the way they look and presumably are making a fair bit more money than we do (not that that’s hard) and would use it not just for day to day work, but also for travel – making the cross body and backpack options super useful! – even he came round to the idea.
At $895 USD (around $1,200 AUD) I won’t be able to afford it any time soon (but will gladly accept as a gift if anyone is offering). So below I have compiled some much more affordable, yet not as versatile, options below.
You may have noticed lately I’ve had a little bit of fashion block. For a fashionista and blogger it’s a bit of an issue. Turns out, I’ve just been over thinking it, so it’s back to the classics. A timeless business dress is all I needed to get my style head back and the inspiration flowing – thank goodness!
Outfit: Dress (DFO, $20) & Wedges (Myer, $69)
This is turning out to be the busiest week of work ever – and it’s only Monday!
My outfits are definitely going to be a lot simpler this week as I will be starting work before 8am most days. Hopefully I can handle my alarm going off at 6am.
Outfit: Jacket (Portmans, $50), Top (Big W, $3), Skirt (OpShop) & Pirate Booties ($85)
I have already have a few comments on my outfit today.
I’ve gotten a few I-love-your-skirt’s and some cute-top’s, but in fact it’s a dress.
This is yet another great purchase from Ozsale.
I think it was about $15. It’s a little bit girlier than a lot of my other clothes, but it’s really comfy and perfect for when the weather gets warm (It’s a lovely 28 degrees in Melbourne today!)
I chucked on my black Dotti cardi just because the aircon is always on in my office, and I’m also wearing beige tights, not for warmth, but because I got the stupidest tan line yesterday and need to try cover it up!
Decided to keep my hair down to make the most of the curls remaining from Sunday.
As the weather gets warmer and the sun starts to come out, clothes get lighter (both in colour and weight)
Today I dressed for spring.
Yes I know it’s been spring for a month now, but we haven’t experienced too much spring weather yet.
This cute green top is from Jay Jays. I got it for $5 when I was about 15.
I love that I can wear it to work, and also dress it down with some jeans for the weekend.
Despite staying true with my black tights and cardigan (I did put my pointy black heels on before I left the house), I lifted the whole outfit by mixing it up with my grey pencil skirt (another great OpShop find).
Topped off with a high bun, I’m ready to enjoy spring 🙂
Firstly, ignore my awful face in this picture.
Secondly, I need a mirror this big at my house!
Thirdly, look at that view! 26th floor!
Finally, lets talk about the outfit.
I love love love this black and red Review skirt.
It is an incredible fit, it feels amazing and its got that little quirk I’m always rattling on about.
Today I have paired it with all black, including my black satin and lace top which keeps the look very soft and feminine.
This outfit is surprisingly comfortable for work clothes, which makes this face even more confusing…..
Today I have reminded myself that this bright blue jacket from Valley Girl was a great buy.
It was only $20, and even though I wouldn’t consider it an everyday jacket, it has been very useful for those days when I want to brighten up a monochromatic outfit.
Todays base is made up of my regular black tights and pointy heels, my short back pencil skirt and this cute black and white stripped top.
Now, I’m not 100% sure on this, but I think my mum bought it for me from an OpShop.
This is the first time I’ve worn it, and it is incredibly comfortable.
OK, so I swear I had more to say, but I half way through writing this a new pair of boots arrived, so I’ve completely forgotten…
