Muggy Melbourne

It seems that Melbourne got the memo that it is now summer, however that doesn’t guarantee nice weather. It’s currently overcast and muggy but still creeping towards 30 degrees, making this light weight jumpsuit ideal.

The earring game is serious now, with these light up Santa ones being the penultimate pair for Christmas 2014. The Christmas game goes into overdrive tomorrow with an all red and green ensemble on the cards.

Power Dress & Reindeer

Being short of stature I generally steer clear of anything longer than mid thigh, but in the work place, and with a pair of killer heels, nothing makes you feel more powerful than a figure hugging midi dress.
A great print and classic blazer makes this outfit one of my new favourites.

We are honing in on December 25th and all subtlety has gone out the window when it comes to jewellery. I especially love these Rudolf earrings because I can hear the tiny bells jingle when I walk.

Little Details

There is something about a simple outfit that I really love. Something classic that will work time and time again, with those little details that make it special, like the neck line of this top and the cut outs in these shoes.

Keeping with my festival jewellery are these adorable Christmas tree earrings, made by my mum from some old plastic necklace, they are one of my favourite pair of understated Christmas earrings.

Busy Christmas

Sorry for the silence. Turns out life gets busy as you approach Christmas and the end of the year (who would have thought?). I have been getting progressively more festive as we approach the 25th, as well as my Christmas jewellery (watch out, there are batteries getting involved now…) I have started wearing touches of red in almost every work outfit.

I’m about 3 or 4 pair of earrings short of having a pair for every day of December, but I make up for it with these adorable hair clips. Not exactly subtle, but with my enormous hair they often go unnoticed, which is good because I’d like to wait until the week of Christmas before I publicly embarrass myself.

Touch of Red

I’m still keeping my festive-ness relatively low key, with this outfits touches of red. These cute bow earrings are super cute for anytime of year, not just Christmas. My favourite part of this whole look are these great shoes, with red soles to match (and without the Louboutin price tag).

Stars and Stripes

It has managed to not feature on the blog as of yet, but I am obsessed with Christmas. Like, must-put-up-decorations-on-Dec-1, presents-bought-and-wrapped-a-month-in-advance, festive-T-shirt-at-any-opportunity kind of obsessed. One of my traditions I have now I work full time is a different pair of Christmas earrings every work day of December. I’ve started off with some smaller, subtler ones such as these cute star earrings, but as we race towards December 25th they will be getting bigger and more garish. Warning: Batteries are involved!
