A Little Bit of Length

Lately I have definitely been into shorter length skirts. “Above the knee” would be the nice description, “barely there” is possibly more accurate (when you got it, flaunt it!). But now that summer is officially over it’s time to see those hemlines drop and start covering up. As well as my extensive collection of coats, scarves and beanies, one of my most valuable warming tools is my huge mane of hair. After copping the whole lot off back in 2010, it’s now got a fair bit of length to it as well – 6 more inches til I reach my goal length, then time for a big change.

Muggy Melbourne

It seems that Melbourne got the memo that it is now summer, however that doesn’t guarantee nice weather. It’s currently overcast and muggy but still creeping towards 30 degrees, making this light weight jumpsuit ideal.

The earring game is serious now, with these light up Santa ones being the penultimate pair for Christmas 2014. The Christmas game goes into overdrive tomorrow with an all red and green ensemble on the cards.

Skinny Clothes

As uIMG_2337.JPG

Despite being roughly an AU Size 6, I still have a small section of my wardrobe that is “Skinny Clothes”. I think most women have them. A few select pieces that, although 95% of the time you can barely pull on, you still hold onto them for when you slim down. This skirt is one of those pieces. I’ve never had an issue with the waist, but the second I put on a kilo or two it struggles to squeeze over my hips. No matter how many times I clean out my wardrobe I can never quite bring myself to get rid of it, and days like today I’m glad I didn’t.

Inspiration isn’t just Black & White

My clothing inspiration comes from many different places; magazines, blogs, TV and even just people I see in the street. Today’s outfit was inspired by the below as for Review that popped up on my Facebook feed and as much as I’d love to buy every one of these pieces, I think my interpretation made from stuff I already had is pretty good.

Night (and Belly) out

Some days you just have to get dressed up for no reason and just hope everything else falls into place.
Luckily for me, last night it did and I ended up having a great time with a friend I hadn’t hung out with in ages.
